I have always been a huge fan of the impressionist and post-impressionist artists. And in my opinion you can not have an Art 1 art history class without a stop at Georges Seurat. I just love the mix of colors and the technique and I love telling kids the size of his paintings and how it was all done in dots the size of their pencil erasers.
Did you just stop reading to look at your pencil eraser to see how big that is? Maybe not, but just stop and think about how you would paint a 20x30 painting with your eraser. Most of us would give up.
Anyways, I don't really have any practice projects before they start the final. Maybe you have one, and if so please share. So here are the final projects from Art 1.
