You always hope that your children will get your talents for art and creativity, but sadly my oldest son has not. I love him dearly, but I need to convince him to stay in band because he (and I) will have a very rough time in high school if he has to take my class.
It is very hard to give out a new project and see that everyone is doing great, and the only one struggling (and I mean struggling) is the art teacher's kid.

I imagine it would be rough to tough to have your child in your class anyway, but especially if you know he would struggle. Hope you can find a solution you both will be happy with!
